21 guest rooms – seclusion in the heart of the big city

Our 21 guest rooms are located across four floors and are all accessible by lift. The airy, tastefully furnished comfort rooms on the 3rd and 4th floor enjoy a particularly lovely view of the broad inner courtyard populated by trees.

All rooms – both comfort and standard – have a bathroom with shower and toilet, a phone, wifi, a desk, a safe or lockable drawer, and are equipped with a coffee maker and kettle. We also provide a ‘welcome tray’ replete with coffee pods, various teas and milk so that our guests can make themselves a hot drink in the comfort of their own room.

There are no TVs or radios in the rooms – a deliberate decision on our part so that guests can truly “tune into” the monastic stillness, so to speak.

You may find that the wifi signal is a little weak in some rooms, as a result of the solidly built monastery walls. In this case, we recommend seeking out one of our cosy seating nooks in the spacious, bright corridors in order to get online.

Our spacious standard twin rooms come with two single beds. They can also be used as generously sized single rooms.

The Benediktushaus is a non-smoking establishment. Please note that smoking is strictly prohibited in all rooms and all indoor and outdoor spaces, including the stairwell and the inner courtyard. If you wish to smoke, we kindly ask you to do so in the public area outside the establishment (the Freyung square).
